The Orica Global Graduate Program is well established across our business platforms in Australia and New Zealand and is committed to taking on approximately 30 new graduates each year from different streams.
All graduates participate in a consistent global graduate program. So that we can best match you to appropriate roles that link to your career interests, we ask that you select a stream when applying.
Applications will be open for the following streams:
General Engineering
General Engineering considers those from Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines. The General Engineering stream offers a diverse range of rotations across different engineering roles. This includes but not limited to; manufacturing, engineering design, commissioning, project management and technology/research & development. Rotating across these functions allows you to experience a range of functions before identifying which you would like to pursue longer term.
Technical Services
Technical Services considers those from Mining & Civil Engineering, Geo-technical, Geology and Surveying disciplines. The Technical Services stream offers a blasting career with Orica Mining Services, the world's largest provider of commercial explosives. In this stream you will rotate across different mining environments and locations to build strong foundations in blasting. Technical Services is both a technical and customer facing role ensuring our customers make best and safe use of our explosive products. You will work across our customer sites and be involved in all Orica’s blasting related activities preparing you for a rewarding career in blasting. Travel to customer sites is required in this function.
Operations
Operations consider those from Business/Commerce, Engineering and Science disciplines. Operations are responsible for professionally delivering our products, services and technologies in a safe and efficient manner to the satisfaction of our customers. This function makes up a large proportion of our workforce and incorporates everything from small scale product manufacturing, logistics of that product to the customer and blasting to customer specification. Those selected for this stream will have a keen interest in operations management, people management and business improvement. Travel
Marketing
Marketing considers those with a Business/Commerce background and a keen interest in pursuing Marketing career. A double degree in Science or Engineering is preferred. Rotations are typically across different business units to gain a holistic understanding of Orica’s products and markets. Analytical skills are essential in this function.
Supply Chain
Supply Chain considers those from a Business/Commerce background with a keen interest in pursuing a Supply Chain/Logistics career. Rotations typically expose graduates across businesses and roles within this function.
