Completion of on-line application form

 The on-line application form is a simple way for you to provide us with your details. It’s designed to capture information about you as a person, your work experience, academic achievements and any other relevant experience you may have. You can save your information at any stage. You can also log on and check where you are in the selection process at any time.  Your application will be acknowledged by email. Note that incomplete applications may not be considered.

Telephone screening

This stage is designed to get to know you and hear more about your interests, experience and achievements. The interview will go for up to 10 minutes.

On-line ability testing

On-line ability testing is designed to assess your verbal, numerical and inductive reasoning potential. We understand that everyone has different skills, so we look at the three different areas to ensure we give you every opportunity to excel at one, or all of the assessments. An invitation explaining the process will be sent out to you, to complete the assessment at a time that’s convenient to you. Once you’ve completed the assessment, we will automatically be notified by email. Please note that because we are completing on-line assessment, you’ll need to legally confirm it is you that has completed the assessment, with a written agreement that you agree to be tested under supervised conditions.

Assessment centre

The assessment centre will incorporate multiple exercises with multiple assessors evaluating against our different competencies.

Interview

The interview is individual and will usually be run by two Managers.  This stage is a great opportunity to get to know you and for you to ask any questions you might have.  You’ll be given a number of behavioural questions which will require you to think of specific examples from your experience to date.  We recommend you answer the questions in three parts;

 1. Background. Be careful not to waste too much time on this part.  Interviewers only need enough background to put them into context.

2. Behaviour. What did you do?

3. Result. What was the outcome?

It's OK to pause before you give the answer to decide which example to use and how to structure your answer. Your answers will reveal not only your experience in dealing with situations, but also your personal approach to issues and problems and your attention to detail.

 Medical testing and reference checking

Medical testing ensures you are physically fit to work in our environments.
This stage involves you nominating at least two referees to comment on your behaviour and performance.
